Last week the recruitment market felt pretty tough, we’ve been having a lot of freelance graphic designers getting in touch with us looking for work.
For a while freelance designers have been routinely extended and on long term bookings, but it looks like we are starting to see things slow down a bit.
We’ve also started to hear the word “recruitment freeze” for the first time in the past 18 months.
A lot of these freezes are just until January, it seems companies are just being a bit more cautious, whilst we wait to see how the market plays out for the rest of the year.
But something also must have very recently happened, because it’s only Tuesday and we’ve already had a flurry of activity from new jobs being sent through, to clients inviting us into their offices to discuss big hiring ambitions from exciting projects that are expected to drop over the next few weeks and months.
There’s certainly some shifting and changing happening, but there’s still some positive things happening out there!
